DKNY Introduces - DKNYMENDKNY will be launching a new scent for men - DKNYMEN next month, at fine department stores nation-wide. Seriously, this new fragrance is destined to become the iconic scent for all things DKNY! Why you may ask? DKNYMEN was created from all of the sights, sounds, and scents of New York…
The notes of DKNYMEN include lively, yet daring blends of bergamot and mandarin reflecting the vibe and energy of NYC, while juniper and clary sage reflect a cool soaking rain. Further notes of white pepper and cardamom evoke the fast paced emotions of NYC while violet leaves and wet jasmine reflects the sophistication of the downtown vibe. The final notes reflect the modern DKNY Man - sandalwood, cedarwood, patchouli, and vetyver.
The DKNYMEN Fragrance Collection includes 3 varying sizes of the New Men’s Fragrance (1 oz., 1.7 oz., 3.4 oz.), After Shave Gel, and Body Wash. Look for it starting next week at fine retailers near you.

EAUX DE FLEURS Collection From Kenzo
EAUX DE FLEURS collection from Kenzo features three flowers, picked from Japanese trees to evoke a delicate trail of scent. KENZO asked three perfumers to create a vision for each scent in the trio, resulting in three distinct, whimsical fragrances. The EAUX DE FLEURS collection includes EAU DE Fleur de silk, EAU DE FLEUR de magnolia, and EAU DE FLEUR de tea.
- EAU DE Fleur de silk was created with crimson floral notes with a tender, fruity heart.
- EAU DE FLEUR de magnolia was created with a radiant floral bouquet, bursting with hesperidian notes.
- EAU DE FLEUR de tea was created with notes of green tea and a hint of musk.
I was given the chance to try EAU DE FLEUR de tea and have enjoyed the light floral scent blended ever so slightly with a twist of musk. Now I am usually not a fan of musks, but the musk scent works well with this fragrance since it is light and gives its lasting scent!
The EAUX DE FLEURS collection arrives at www.kenzousa.com in February 2009.

The Stages of Public Acceptance of Natural Perfumery An Evolution Unfolds in the Manner of Top Middle and Base Notes in a PerfumeAnya McCoy’s Natural Perfume Notes: Anya McCoy takes us on a tour of the changing opinions of natural perfumery by critics and the public:In late Spring 2005 perfume bloggers wafted out across the Internet, writing in a giddy and groundbreaking manner about sampling and reviewing perfumes, discussing the ascent of niche houses and other lovely bits of minutiae, gossip and fun. I wandered into this fragrant party early on, discovering Now Smell This, Bois de Jasmin and many other blogs. Friendly as could be, the perfumistas welcomed the notion of natural perfumes as I posted about them, since the majority of them had never come across this form of perfumery either by name or sniff.
